Five on Friday

Woohoo! We’ve survived another week! This week has been a tad crazy, so I am looking forward to being somewhat of a hermit this weekend.

{ONE}

We went to Raleigh last weekend to see our best friends. We had a board game night {highly recommend Cards Against Humanity, Ticket to Ride, and Settlers of Catan if you are looking to expand your game collection}, went to a Hurricanes game, and did some outlet shopping. If I could pack up and move to Raleigh today, I would. I love that city.

{TWO}

The weather warmed up a LOT this week. I think we just skipped spring and went straight from winter to summer. I am glad that it hasn’t been as cold, but I wasn’t ready for this.

{THREE}

My mom’s birthday was this week, so of course we went out to celebrate. My sister and I shared this bread pudding and it was heavenly {and full of gluten lol}.

{FOUR}

We also got to enjoy this beautiful view while at dinner. Sometimes I forget that I live in such a beautiful place.

Exciting things are happening around here! This month marks one year since I started this blog, and to celebrate, I’m going to be having a giveaway soon. Make sure you keep an eye out for it! It’s going to be pretty awesome!

Five On Friday

Hey y’all! Just in case you missed it, it’s Friday! Which means the weekend is just mere hours away. And even though I’m always excited about the weekend, I am more so than usual today because my hubby and I are headed to Raleigh to see some great friends (including my lovely friend Ashley from Sweet Carolina Belle) and go to a Hurricanes game!

{ONE} I love board games. We are having a game night with a group of friends while we are in Raleigh. We just got this game and I can’t wait to play it!

{TWO} I can’t believe I’m admitting this, but I am becoming an Apple lover. I got an iPhone a few months ago, and I thought that would be the extent of my Apple products, mainly because my hubby is a computer nerd and doesn’t care much for Apple. He surprised me this past weekend by getting me the iPad Air! I am loving it so far! {The public flogging can commence now…}

{THREE} Speaking of which, since I am a clutz, it is essential that I adequately protect any fragile items like my phone or iPad, however I can’t stand to pay the prices most places charge for cases so I went straight to Amazon. I found this case after just looking at a few and I knew it had to be mine:

{FOUR} I love reading blogs {that’s what inspired me to start my own} and one of my favorites is Fit and Feminist. She wrote two great posts this week that you should definitely check out: Lay off the Women in Tutus and Enough with the Elitism in Fitness.

{FIVE} I think Target managed to sum up my entire relationship with my hubby in two wall decorations. I almost bought both of them.
