December Stitchfix Review

I’m skipping another day of Blogmas since I’ve already done today’s topic and sharing my latest Stitchfix instead. I’m definitely looking forward to getting back on track with the Blogmas topics in the next couple of days though!

My box came over Thanksgiving weekend, which probably wasn’t the best timing considering that I was bloated from all of the delicious food I’d been eating, but it was nice because it gave me an extra day to think about what I was going to keep.

This month, I requested another leather jacket to try. I had gotten one in my last box, but it didn’t fit quite right. I was hoping to get one that fit a little better. Other than that, I don’t think I requested anything specific.

So here is what I got, what I kept, and what I sent back:

Honestly, as soon as I saw this in my box, I knew it would go back. Other than my Alex + Ani bracelets, I don’t wear bracelets on a regular basis. I actually have a cuff that is pretty similar to this one that I got from Premiere Jewelry, and I never wear it.

Well, as you can see from the picture, I am not actually wearing the skirt. This is because it wouldn’t even begin to zip up. It went back.

TCEC Edgar Faux Leather Jacket // Medium // $68

When I saw this in the box, I liked it a lot! I had requested another leather jacket, and it was gray, so of course I couldn’t wait to try it on. Unfortunately, it was way too small! I’m actually holding the jacket as closed as I can get it in this picture. Stupid boobs… it was pretty tight in the arms too, which is an issue I don’t usually have. Back it went.

Staccato Barry Cowl Neck Ribbed Sweater // medium // $58

I really liked this sweater when I saw it in the box, probably because it was gray and I’m pretty much obsessed with gray. And once I put it on, I was pretty impressed with how soft it was! A lot of times I will put on a sweater like that thinking it looks cute, then it ends up itching like crazy. However, I didn’t think it was anything special especially considering the price. I really deliberated on keeping it, but I decided I liked the vest below better, so the sweater went back.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and this vest was it! I loved, loved, loved it! But I was hesitant to get too excited as I had been striking out up to this point. Thankfully, I was not to be disappointed. Not only did it fit, but it’s SO incredibly warm and comfortable! It’s lined with (faux) fur or something, make it extra cozy! It was a little pricey, definitely not what I would typically spend on an item like this, but I couldn’t pass it up. So I kept it!

So what did you think of my pieces? Though it wasn’t my favorite box to-date, I’m still enjoying them and trying different things, so I’m planning to keep my subscription into the next year.

I’m obsessed with grey as well, so I love the leather jacket & sweater! I’m curious…when you review your items, can you tell Stitchfix you want the same item in a different size the following month? Also, I really like your boots…care to share where you got them? 😉

  You know, I’ve never checked into that. I haven’t had an item I loved enough that I wanted but needed a different size. However their FAQ page (https://www.stitchfix.com/faq#returns-and-exchanges) says:
  
  “Can I get another size or do an exchange? We work hard to get your size right using the information we have about your body type and size. Everything we order is limited quantity and cut-to-order, which means that while we can get you unique and interesting pieces, sometimes we are unable to accommodate size exchanges. If you absolutely love an item, but need a different size, you can contact us via email at hello@stitchfix.com and we will try our best to find that item in a different size.”
  
  And the boots are TOMS (http://www.toms.com/women/taupe-suede-womens-desert-wedges). My hubby got them for me for my birthday but then caved and gave them to me early! 😉

    Soooo….apparently EVERYONE loves your boots. They are currently sold out in pretty much every size. I’m now on a quest to find a pair. 😉

      Wow! Really?! They’re pretty awesome! I’ll keep an eye out for you! Check local shops in town that carry TOMs— sometimes they have them. I’ve seen similar ones in Journeys.

I love that jacket too! That sucks that it did not fit. I hate when something is so cute but then is not it your size. Do you think you will request a bigger size or try again for a new jacket? I am excited to start back getting StichFix this month.

  I actually found a leather jacket at Target that I loved and was much cheaper, so I didn’t request a different size. You should post what you get! I love seeing everyone’s stuff!

That vest is super cute! I haven’t blogged about my last two boxes because they have truly been so awful- not sure whats going on with Stitch Fix but either they don’t know how to do winter or idk. hoping my next box will be better!

  oh no! really?! do you have a pinterest board linked to your style profile? I updated mine several months ago and that really helped with getting stuff that were more “me”. And I ALWAYS leave notes with comments about the clothes I don’t keep.
