O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree // #Blogmas Day 8
I’m sure most of you would agree, but my favorite part about decorating for Christmas is the tree. There is just something about it…
Last year, we left Christmas Day to go to Disney World so we didn’t bother putting up our big Christmas tree. Instead, I picked up a small one and just put a few of my favorite ornaments on it.
This year though, I was definitely excited to have my big tree up and fully decorated. But I also wanted to utilize the little one.
I ended up putting the little one downstairs in the kitchen and I put the big one in the front window of our office. I love that because it is in that window, you can easily see it from the outside. Plus, I don’t have to worry about Linux messing with it or any of the presents underneath since he doesn’t have access to that room when we are not home.
I also decided to make the downstairs one my “Jeff & Sophi” tree with only the ornaments we have been collecting since we started dating nearly a decade ago.
The big tree is a hodge-podge of other ornaments. Although I think themed trees where the ornaments all coordinate are fun, I like my tree to have ornaments that have sentimental value.
Maybe one day when we have a bigger house, I can do a themed tree, but right now, there is no room. As you could see from the pictures, it was a tight squeeze fitting our tree where we did. I would also love to do a real tree one year, but the fake, pre-lit tree is SO much easier.
