Five on Friday

PicMonkey Collage Time for another Five on Friday!

{ONE} We attended the wedding of some sweet friends this past weekend.  It was on the beach, and you couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather.  I had to post this picture I took on Instagram because I thought it was hilarious that all of the guys were dancing.  Usually it’s the girls tearing up the dance floor at weddings.

{TWO} I’ve been babysitting this girl since she was about 5 years old.  Now she is all grown up and going to her first Award’s Banquet (a.k.a. Prom).  She and her family is moving to Florida next week, and I am going to miss them all terribly! I will treasure this picture for the rest of my life.

{THREE} We are kind of obsessed with board games.  I think we have a game night at least once a week.

{FOUR} This sign was at the wedding I mentioned, and I thought it was such a neat way to let the guests know that they weren’t doing a bride’s side and a groom’s side.  I know for us, we are friends with both the bride and the groom, so picking a “side” would be hard.

{FIVE} The required wedding selfie with the hubby.

How was your week? Did you do anything fun over the Memorial Day weekend?

The One Where We Threw an Epic Surprise Party

A couple of weekends ago we threw my sister, Mari, a surprise birthday party.

As we were in the beginning stages of planning, my brother-in-law (my sister’s hubby) suggested we do a “Friends” theme.  My sister is addicted to the show, so it was a perfect idea!

Unfortunately, I forgot to grab my camera as she was walking in, so I didn’t catch her surprised face, but she definitely seemed taken-off-guard when all of her friends jumped out from the hallway.

She loved the theme and decor of course! I think she was most surprised by all of that [read: she’s much better at themed parties than I am].  Hopefully, she had a great time and it made this birthday a little memorable!

I had to include this picture because the facial expressions are priceless

Happy birthday, Mari! Hope 26 is an awesome year for you!

“Happy” Hump Day

Happy hump day everyone! If you are like me, it was a little tough to get back into the work routine after the long weekend. So I thought I’d share a video that might make your Wednesday a little HAPPYer!

“HAPPY” at Wrightsville Beach from Ned Leary Photography on Vimeo.

This video was filmed right here in my beautiful town.  Sometimes it’s easy to wish you could live somewhere else, but this video reminded me of how lucky I am to live where I do.
