Christmas Review

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas surrounded by your loved ones!

It’s been a little crazy with all of the festivities last week, a wedding this weekend, and my sister and I are currently on a mini-road trip across the state for some job interviews that she has, and since I didn’t get a Friday Five post up, I thought I’d share some of my favorite moments from the Christmas week!

Processed with VSCOcam with s3 preset one // I was feeling very inspired by the Gingerbread Houses post from Blogmas that I decided to get one to do with my nieces and nephew. I was so excited when I found this “mini-village” set because it meant each of them could do their own and decorate it the way they wanted to. The kids seemed to really enjoy doing it, but that may have been because they ate almost as much candy as they used to decorate their houses with!

Processed with VSCOcam with g2 preset two // I’m obsessed with Alex and Ani bracelets, so I expected to get a couple for my birthday and Christmas.  But I never expected to get ones so meaningful to me. My sister gave me the silver one for my birthday, and my mother-in-law gave me the “Like a Daughter to Me” bracelet for Christmas. I am BEYOND blessed with an incredible sister and a mother-in-law, both of whom I love spending time with.

Processed with VSCOcam with c3 preset four // Speaking of great presents, my entire family nailed it with my presents this year.  I know it’s not all about the gifts, and I do like giving presents a lot, but let’s be real, it’s fun to get some too. I am so excited about my Eyefi card for my camera that my parents got me— it lets you sync your photos directly from your camera to your phone, iPad/tablet, or computer! And I’m enjoying re-reading all of the Harry Potter books that Jeff got me, especially since we are going to HP World NEXT WEEK!

So yeah, all-in-all, it was a great Christmas! Even if I hadn’t have gotten so many great gifts, it was a wonderful time spent with family.

Peace and Goodwill

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

Christmas Cocktail Recipe // #Blogmas Day 23

Ya’ll, I’m tired. And my brain just doesn’t want to come up with ideas for today’s topic. Besides, it’s not like there’s this awesome website called Pinterest that has PLENTY of Christmas cocktail recipes or anything…

So will you forgive me if I take the super lazy route and just share this hilarious episode of My Drunk Kitchen? Oh, and if you have never heard of this amazing Youtube show, I better warn you that you might want to wait until you are home from work before watching because otherwise you spend the next two hours watching episode after episode. She is HILARIOUS but it can lead to a very unproductive use of time.

So now you can hop on over to Ashley’s or Tay’s blog and check out everyone else’s cocktail recipes then do your own reenactment of My Drunk Kitchen! Sounds pretty awesome, right?!
